About me
Some dude living in Poland, writing a blog, playing around a bit with programming and electronics and in the meantime also with graphics and video editing.
I'm a typical 90s kid. I grew up in Poland in a time when the internet was in movies, not in homes. I got my first computer when I was already a teenager, I had to wait a bit longer for the internet itself.
Back then, knowledge about computers or the world was gained from newspapers. I remember how I used to buy CD-Action, a monthly computer magazine that was not only filled to the brim with gaming articles and reviews, but also included CD-Disks with videogames (there was no Steam back then).
Then the Internet finally appeared in Polish homes.
I still remember how amazing internet forums were for me. Those about games, anime, robotics or IT. Every day new threads appeared, discussions were held, and people outdid each other in the number of posts written.
I discovered so many amazing things. I read internet zines and blogs created by enthusiasts. I was planning in my head what I would write such a blog about.
In addition, there was this new video platform called YouTube (YT was created in 2005, but it reached Poland a bit later) where people would upload entire anime episodes cut into parts (the video limit was probably 10 minutes). So I spent a lot of time there too.
Generally speaking, the internet was good.
The current internet is not bad, it is different, because that is how we are currently creating it. However, I do not feel that it is a place for me, hence this blog (yes, I know, it is a tab about me and such talk should be in the manifesto, but let me vent).
The current me still lives in Poland, except I'm an adult, I work in a corporation (sic!) and I'm still into all the things I was into as a teenager, I just don't have time for them now (and I miss it so much).
So let's hope that writing this blog will motivate me to take up my hobbies again, even if only to a small extent.
And most importantly, let this blog be proof that I once lived and enjoyed frikkin awesome stuff.
