MMORPG in Middle-earth

The Lord of the Rings Online is a MMORPG set in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, taking place during the time period of The Lord of the Rings.

LotRO premiered in 2007 and is still being developed with new expansions, thanks to which we have a huge amount of content and at the same time (due to its age) very low hardware requirements. So we can run LotRO even on a potato PC! Just like my laptop!

In 2010 the game underwent a shift from its original subscription-based payment model to being free-to-play.
